Position Summary
A substitute teacher role will assume responsibility for a classroom and perform all the tasks of the absent teacher, such as keeping students in order, taking attendance, and executing the teacher’s lesson plan in their absence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to, the following)
- Implement lesson plan of absent teacher
- Take attendance
- Gives clear instructions and helps students understand the lesson plan
- Maintains control of the classroom
- Fosters a safe and nurturing learning environment
- Observes and follows school policies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education or any related field
- Relevant classroom experience preferred
